    About Martin

    Martin Kunze is working as a research assistant at the university of Halle-Wittenberg (Germany) and holds a Magister Artium (M.A.) degree in educational science, sociology and psychology from Jena University.

    From 2005 to 2006 Martin has spent one year as an exchange student in Denmark, where he among other things specialized in Scandinavian Area Studies. The research interests of Martin are non-profit management, social policy, corporate citizenship and the cooperation of companies and non-profit organizations. Besides of his studies, he was engaged in several projects of the German Student Network for Ethics in Economics and Practice.

     

     

     

    PhD project

    Companies as addressees of the social question. Institutional change in welfare regimes in Germany, Denmark and Great Britain.

    The purpose of the PhD project is to analyze the role of companies in welfare regimes in an international comparative perspective between Germany, Denmark and Great Britain. Thereby the theoretical approaches of path-dependence and neo-institutionalism are used to analyze the institutionalization of the ’social question’ in companies. As a result, distinct conclusions on how innovative social policy within a framework of new actor constellations and their governance abilities concerning answering the ‘social question’ should be drawn.
